Step inside SKUHLPT
A dedicated sanctuary for SELF. Where MOVEMENT of the BODY meets, STILLNESS of the MIND.
As a Pilates client, Marcela was drawn immediately to the way the practice made her feel. Calm, centred, and at one with my body, mind, and SELF.
A window of time to drop the labels she carried, and drop into herself. As her Pilates practice evolved, that precious time with self ended with a gift — a candle, flowers, activewear — a sacred, and indulgent ritual, just for her.
Where did the name Skuhlpt come from?
The meaning of the word in essence, is to change the shape of something into another.
It really has no end as you can continue to change to suit where you are in that moment.
It’s quite powerful.
What is your favourite part of being an instructor?
I LOVE Pilates, and I have seen the results it can create but also it is genuinely accessible for anyone + everyone.
You have an injury or need to build strength, Pilates can do that.
How long have you been a Pointe Studio fan?
Since we first opened early 2021 in Melbourne, as Pointe was starting to build more momentum and we have stayed with them ever since.
I honestly have loved the brand since my first pair and love them still to this day … and so do our community! I cannot keep the stand full! That reminds me, we need another restock! Ha!
What is one of your favourite things about Pointe Studio?
Comfort, comfort … COMFORT! The little grip pads are hardly noticeable and they feel like insoles for your shoes!
So spongey.
The grip is enough to provide stability without being too sticky / grippy to maintain flow during your workout. And the quality is truly second to none.
What is your go to Pilates sock (Style and or Colour)?
This is a tricky one, but I am a fan of the Ankle Grip range, with Pheobe + Jamie when I feel a little creative + colourful, Happy Ankle when I need a little feel-good energy, and Union is my everyday go to, as the colours are more neutral and go with all my activewear outfits as I don’t have normal socks!! Haha!
My draw if filled with Pointe and I pretty much wear them whether or not I am teaching or doing a class. They are literally so comfy!
